Peppermint is a natural hybrid of two species – water mint (Mentha aquatica) and spearmint (Mentha spicata). Thanks to this combination, it has gained an incredibly strong, cooling aroma, rich in menthol and menthone, which are responsible for its refreshing, purifying, and pain-relieving properties.

• Concentration: According to the publication Essential Oil Safety by Tisserand and Young (2nd ed.), the maximum safe concentration for skin is 5%
• Homeopathy: This oil may weaken the effect of homeopathic medicines
• Children: Do not use in children under 5 years of age, especially near the face – it can be neurotoxic
• Contraindications: Also contraindicated in people with atrial fibrillation and G6PD enzyme deficiency
