• Due to camphor content, use with caution in cases of epilepsy
• The oil may have stimulating effects, so avoid using at night
• According to Essential Oil Safety (Tisserand & Young, 2nd ed.), there is no basis for generally contraindicating essential oils in individuals with hypertension – always consider individual reaction and appropriate dilution
