Our wild-harvested Palo Santo essential oil is steam-distilled from naturally fallen branches and trunks of wild trees in the Ecuadorian mountains. Every piece of wood harvested is fully utilized—either for distillation or as incense.

• Oxidation: d-limonene oxidizes easily - if the oil oxidizes, it can cause skin irritation and hypersensitivity
• Concentration: According to the book "Essential Oil Safety" by Tisserand and Young (2nd edition), the maximum recommended concentration for application to the skin is 3.4%, due to the content of menthofuran and pulegone, which may have a hepatotoxic effect (straining the liver).
