Myrtle (Red) Essential Oil (Myrtus communis)

Certified organic red myrtle essential oil has a sweet, herbal, and slightly camphoraceous aroma that clears the respiratory tract and clears the mind. Despite its fresh scent, it has a gentle and calming effect, promoting relaxation and regeneration—even during colds.

We offer both red and green myrtle. Red myrtle comes from Morocco and typically contains more myrtenyl acetate, an ester with a delicate, floral-fruity aroma that's gentle on the skin. Both oils have a soft and sweet scent, but the red variety is more relaxing.

Application
Breathing – Cold Season. Fill a bowl with hot water and add one drop of red myrtle oil. Inhale the rising steam to open your airways and clear your sinuses.

Cleansing – Microbes. Diffuse red myrtle oil upon returning home to reduce airborne microbes and create a healthy atmosphere.

Relief – Skin irritation and tightness. Soothe red, sensitive, or swollen skin by applying a blend of Red Myrtle oil diluted in Trauma Oil.
