Organic Lime Essential Oil (Citrus aurantifolia)
Certified Organic Distilled Lime Essential Oil from Sri Lanka
Certified organic lime essential oil, steam-distilled from crushed fruits grown in Sri Lanka. The scent is fresh, citrusy, and green, with a distinct, slightly dry character. Limonene gives it a luminous citrus freshness, while γ-terpinene and terpinolene introduce more green, herbal, and subtly spicy nuances.
The GC/MS profile is characteristic of distilled lime oil. The high content of α-terpineol gives the composition a softness and a subtle floral-woody background, and 1,8-cineole brings a cooler, slightly eucalyptus-like accent. This makes the aroma more complex and dry than that of cold-pressed peel oil.
It blends excellently with sweet orange, bergamot, grapefruit, cardamom, ginger, coriander, black pepper, frankincense, cedar, and rosemary. This will not be a very sweet or unidimensionally juicy citrus. The oil opens fresh and luminous, then develops a more green, herbal, and slightly woody background.
Ideal for invigorating blends, supporting concentration, and improving atmosphere during fatigue. It also works well in fresh respiratory blends and aromatherapy compositions supporting digestive comfort.

This is an interesting combination of monoterpenes and monoterpenols. Limonene is responsible for the luminous, citrusy freshness and energizing character of the oil. γ-Terpinene and terpinolene give it a greener, drier, and slightly herbal profile, distinguishing it from sweeter citrus oils.
α-Terpineol softens the sharpness of monoterpenes, introducing a subtly floral, soft, and slightly woody tone. α-Terpinene, p-cymene, and β-pinene enhance the fresh, terpenic structure of the aroma, while 1,8-cineole is responsible for a delicate sensation of coolness, spaciousness, and easier breathing.

Laboratory Testing
Ensuring full transparency of quality, we provide laboratory documentation for each essential oil, including GC/MS reports and SDS/MSDS sheets. The tests confirm the authenticity, purity, and chemical profile of a given batch, and PDF files and graphic composition summaries are published on the product page.
Quality Guarantee – GC/MS and GC/FID Tests
Vessel brand essential oils are tested using GC/MS and GC/FID methods, confirming their authenticity, purity, and conformity with the natural plant profile.
The analysis uses gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS) in SCAN mode to precisely identify each component. Quantitative composition is determined by GC/FID. This ensures that we offer only natural essential oils, without synthetic additives – ideal for professional aromatherapy applications. The distillery specializes in medicinal and aromatic plants (MAP). It operates, among others, under ISO 9001/22000 and Organic/COSMOS standards.
