Analysis of the composition of each batch

Douglas Fir essential oil is the lightest of the conifer oils—it offers clarity, freshness, and a stable energy without the heaviness of resin. It's often chosen when someone desires a connection to the forest, but in its gentle form, it creates a feeling of air, brightness, and openness without being overwhelming.

Douglas Fir Essential Oil (Pseudotsuga menziesii)

Douglas Fir Oil from Canada – Wild Harvest, Light and Fresh

Douglas fir essential oil has a fresh, coniferous, and delicately woody aroma with a subtle citrus note. Its light, woodsy scent promotes a sense of clarity and stable energy, especially during times of stress or change. It is excellent for diffusion, helping to create a feeling of freshness, space, and connection with nature, especially during the colder months.

Douglas fir is sometimes referred to commercially as "Douglas pine", but botanically it is neither a pine ( Pinus ) nor a fir ( Abies ) . It belongs to a separate genus, Pseudotsuga , and is closely related to the evergreen hemlock. In Polish, it is known as Douglas fir or Douglas fir .

The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the needles and young twigs of trees growing wild in the coniferous forests of the United States. The raw material is wild-harvested and harvested with respect for the natural environment.

Safety and warnings:

  • Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young do not indicate any specific risks associated with the use of silver fir essential oil, but they point out that oxidized oil should be treated with caution because it may cause skin sensitization.
  • It is recommended to use only fresh oil and to read the full safety profile described in the publication: Robert Tisserand, Rodney Young, "Essential Oil Safety", 2nd edition, Churchill Livingstone Elsevier, 2014, p. 281
  • In sensitive individuals, the oil may cause skin irritation. In such cases, it should be used in low concentrations, appropriately diluted in a carrier oil (approximately 5–6 drops per 30 ml of carrier oil), especially for applications such as massage or an aromatic bath.
