Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum / Cinnamomum verum)
Ceylon cinnamon, a certified organic essential oil, contains a whopping 68.44% (E)-cinnamaldehyde. This makes it exceptionally potent and effective. Just a few drops of the intense, spicy cinnamon bark oil can fill a space with a warm, radiant aroma. Its air-purifying properties help support health and boost energy, especially during the changing seasons.
Cinnamon bark oil is high in cinnamaldehyde, which makes it too strong for daily skin use, but it's an ideal ingredient in natural cleansers. Our certified organic cinnamon bark essential oil is steam distilled from wild Ceylon cinnamon trees in the forests of Sri Lanka.
It's important to remember that Cinnamomum verum and Cinnamomum zeylanicum are the same plant, with the former being the more current name. The term Cinnamomum zeylanicum is gradually falling into disuse in favor of Cinnamomum verum.

Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum verum) oil is a hot oil with an intense, warm, and spicy aroma. It blends beautifully with citrus oils (orange, lemon, bergamot), woody and balsamic oils (cedar, frankincense, myrrh), and floral oils (lavender, geranium, ylang ylang), creating energizing, warming, and cleansing blends.
Due to its strongly warming properties, it can be combined with spice oils (ginger, clove, nutmeg), but only in minimal amounts to avoid over-intensity and irritation. To balance its strong effects, it's worth adding soothing oils such as lavender, geranium, or citrus, which lend harmony and freshness to the composition.
