German Chamomile Hydrosol is an exceptionally gentle mist that quickly soothes irritation, redness, and skin hypersensitivity (including scalp hypersensitivity due to stress), making it the first choice for sensitive and couperose skin. Additionally, it supports the regeneration and comfort of dry, allergic, and mature skin, restoring a feeling of softness and balance.
German Chamomile Hydrosol (Matricaria recutita) Organic
Certified Organic German Chamomile Hydrosol from the USA – the soothing first choice
Certified organic German chamomile hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of flowers from organic farms in the USA. Distilled specifically as a hydrosol (not as an essential oil byproduct), it features a pure and stable water-soluble fraction profile. Crystal-clear mountain spring water is used for distillation.
Chamomile hydrosol has a mild, fresh, sweet-herbaceous aroma and is known for its soothing, calming, and regenerating properties. It quickly relieves redness, stinging, itching, and dryness, supporting the skin's natural repair processes. Particularly recommended for the care of sensitive, reactive, couperose, mature, and allergy-prone skin.
Artisan product, not mass-produced. Limited quantity.

For whom?
German chamomile flower water is an ideal choice for people with sensitive, irritated or allergic skin. It is perfect for the care of couperose, atopic, and baby skin. Recommended by aromatherapy therapists and natural skincare specialists.
Why is it worth it?
German Chamomile is one of the most valued ingredients in natural skincare. Its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties are confirmed by centuries of use. The USDA Organic certificate guarantees that the product comes from controlled cultivation without pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
What does German chamomile hydrosol actually "carry"?
Hydrosols (i.e., post-distillation waters) do not contain azulene or bisabolol – these are lipophilic compounds that remain in the essential oil.
In hydrosol, we mainly find:
- Phenolic acids (e.g., chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid)
- Flavonoids in the form of glycosides
- Trace volatile alcohols and esters
That is, water-soluble substances that have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, but act more gently than essential oil.

- No known contraindications

Storage and shelf life
Shelf life: 24 months

Hydrosols vs. essential oils – what's the difference?
Simply put: hydrosol is aqueous, and essential oil is fatty. Hydrosol contains hydrophilic (water-loving) plant components, while essential oil contains lipophilic (fat-loving) molecules.
The essential oil content in hydrosol is trace, too small for the oil to separate or float to the surface (which is why hydrosol does not need to be shaken before use).
Aromatics International distills specifically to obtain hydrosol, using longer distillation times, fresh plant material, and copper stills, which ensures:
- Higher concentration of active water-soluble compounds
- Better therapeutic properties
- More stable scent
Using hydrosol alongside essential oil provides a full spectrum of benefits – both from the oil and aqueous fractions of the plant.

Quality guarantee – artisan distillation
Hydrosols come from fresh, certified organic plants, steam distilled in traditional copper stills. Each one is made intentionally – specifically for hydrosol, not as a byproduct of essential oil distillation.
People with sensitive skin particularly appreciate their gentleness and soothing effect. Hydrosols are also safe for children and animals – though in animal aromatherapy, we always allow them to choose whether they want contact with the scent.
