Lavender Artisan Hydrosol (Lavandula angustifolia) is a gentle skin and aromatherapy sleep mist that soothes, calms, and supports natural relaxation and sleep . It also regenerates and tones sensitive, irritated, and couperose-prone skin , making it ideal for evening skincare rituals.
Lavender Artisan Hydrosol (Lavandula angustifolia) Organic
This certified organic lavender hydrosol, preservative-free, is made from organic lavender flowers (Lavandula angustifolia) grown at an altitude of 4,700 feet (approximately 1,430 meters above sea level), which promotes a naturally higher concentration of soothing aromatic compounds. It works perfectly as a toner, a bedtime mist, or after sunbathing. In aromatherapy, it promotes relaxation, facilitates sleep, and soothes after a stressful day. Distillation for the hydrosol (not as a side effect of the oil) produces a clean, stable profile. The water used for distillation is crystal-clear mountain spring water.
This hydrolate has a fresh, herbal-floral aroma with a hint of honey, which balances emotions, calms, and restores harmony to the body and mind. It has a soothing and regenerating effect on the skin, especially in the care of sensitive, irritated, and couperose-prone skin.
Important: This mist is suitable for both skincare and aromatherapy sleep. Used as a face, body, or bedding mist, it promotes relaxation, calm, and restful, restorative sleep. Its natural formula makes it an excellent choice for evening beauty rituals and aromatherapy sleep. It is well-tolerated by children and seniors.
Artisanal product, not manufactured on an industrial scale. Limited quantities.
Artisan = small-batch artisan distillation, conducted specifically to obtain a hydrolate. This is not a lavender variety, but a quality standard "true hydrolate"—a separate fraction from a dedicated distillation, without additives, without preservatives, with a preserved pH range and micro-purity; emphasis on fresh raw materials, the correct plant:water ratio, a longer, gentle distillation, and precise "cutting" of the fractions.
Aromatics International distills specifically for hydrosol, using longer distillation times, fresh plant material and copper stills, ensuring:
- higher concentration of active water-soluble compounds,
- better therapeutic properties,
- more stable scent.
Using a hydrolate alongside an oil provides a full spectrum of benefits – both the oil and water fractions of the plant.

Soothing – Skin irritations
For sudden irritation or abrasions, gently wash the skin with soap and water, then spray with lavender hydrolate. It brings immediate comfort, soothes redness, and supports the natural regeneration process.
Complexion – After the sun
After sun exposure, spritz your skin with lavender hydrosol to refresh and soothe. It provides a pleasant cooling sensation, soothes burning sensations, and helps restore balance after a day in the sun.
This lavender hydrosol from Aromatics International is – without exaggeration – one of the best available on the market
1. Artisan distillation, not a by-product
This is not a hydrosol that's "waste" from essential oil production. It's been specially distilled to maximize its therapeutic properties and full phytochemical profile, with a significantly higher content of lavender's water-soluble components (linalool, linalyl acetate, and trace amounts of camphor).
2. High mountain cultivation (4700 ft / approx. 1430 m above sea level)
This is a crucial factor – lavender grown at higher altitudes contains more calming and anti-inflammatory compounds, as the plants produce them as a natural protection against the sun and dry air. This translates into a deeper, honey-herbal scent with a warm base – and therapeutic properties (greater anti-inflammatory and soothing activity).
3. Chemical composition consistent with typical Lavandula angustifolia
The hydrolate contains mainly monoterpenols (linalool) and esters (linalyl acetate), which explains its action:
antibacterial and antifungal,
soothing, regenerating,
supporting sleep and emotional balance.
Even trace amounts of ketones (e.g. camphor) can have a positive effect on skin microcirculation and epidermal regeneration.
Durability and safety
Shelf life: 24 months
Safety and warnings:
No known contraindications. Store in a cool place and away from light.
Hydrolates and essential oils – what is the difference?
Simply put, a hydrosol is water-based, while an essential oil is fatty. A hydrosol contains the plant's hydrophilic (water-loving) components, while an essential oil contains lipophilic (fat-loving) molecules.
The oil content in the hydrolate is trace, too small for the oil to separate or float to the surface (therefore, the hydrolate does not need to be shaken before use).

Hydrosols are sourced from fresh, certified organic plants, steam-distilled in traditional copper stills. Each one is created intentionally – specifically for the hydrosol, not as a byproduct of essential oil distillation.
People with sensitive skin particularly appreciate their gentleness and soothing effect. Hydrosols are also safe for children and pets – although in aromatherapy for animals, we always allow them to choose whether they want to be exposed to the fragrance. People with sensitive skin particularly appreciate their gentleness and soothing effect.
