Certified organic lavender hydrosol, preservative-free, was produced from organic Lavandula angustifolia flowers grown at an altitude of 4700 feet (approx. 1430 m above sea level), which promotes a naturally higher concentration of soothing aromatic compounds. It works perfectly as a toner, a mist before sleep, or after sun exposure. In aromatherapy, it supports relaxation, facilitates falling asleep, and soothes after a stressful day. Distillation conducted specifically for hydrosol (not as a byproduct of essential oil) yields a pure, stable profile. The water used for distillation is crystal clear (mountain spring water).
The hydrosol has a fresh, herbaceous-floral aroma with a honey note that balances emotions, calms, and restores harmony to body and mind. It has a soothing and regenerative effect on the skin – especially in the care of sensitive, irritated, and couperose skin.

Simply put: hydrosol is aqueous, and essential oil is oily. Hydrosol contains hydrophilic (water-loving) plant components, while essential oil contains lipophilic (fat-loving) molecules.
The oil content in hydrosol is trace, too small for the oil to separate or float to the surface (which is why hydrosol does not need to be shaken before use).
