Copaiba Balsam Oleoresin (Copaifera officinalis)

Certified Organic Copaiba Balm has a delicate, slightly earthy aroma that helps calm the mind. It can be used similarly to a thick essential oil, as it has a thick, liquid consistency.
The subtle presence of Copaiba balm offers strong support during colds and is also an excellent choice for those who appreciate more subdued aromas.

Our wild-harvested Copaiba Balsam is sustainably sourced from tropical evergreen trees (commonly known as copal or copaiba) in the rainforests of Brazil.

What is oleoresin and how does it differ from classic essential oils?
Copaiba Balsam (Oleoresin) is not only an essential oil but also a natural resinous substance, which distinguishes it from classic essential oils like lavender or lemon. Copaiba Balsam Oleoresin is a naturally occurring oleoresin , a resin blended with natural essential oils . This means it is less dense than pure resin (Copaiba Resin) but more concentrated than distilled essential oil.

Why is Copaiba oleoresin different from classic oils?

Oleoresin contains more active plant compounds – thanks to this, it has stronger regenerative and protective properties.

It has a thicker, balsamic consistency, rather than a thin, liquid form like classic essential oils.

It oxidizes slower and has a longer shelf life – up to 8 years, while most essential oils have a shorter shelf life.

It does not evaporate so quickly because it contains resinous ingredients that stay on the skin longer and regenerate it more deeply.

It is gentler on the skin – unlike some essential oils that require very high dilution, Copaiba Oleoresin can be used in a higher concentration.

Thanks to its resin content, Copaiba oleoresin is more concentrated, long-lasting and rich in active ingredients than classic essential oils, making it a unique ingredient in aromatherapy and skin care.

How to use?

  • For skin care – can be used directly or diluted.
  • For aromatherapy – ideal for diffusers and massage.
  • As a therapeutic raw material – thanks to the high content of beta-caryophyllene, it has anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties.

The offered Copaiba is a pure, unprocessed oleoresin obtained from a specific species ( Copaifera officinalis ), which makes it an authentic product with a richer active composition than standard essential oils such as Copaifera Essential Oil or Copaifera spp. blends.
